God said, do you trust me?
And I said yes!

It’s easy to trust Jesus when it doesn’t cost us anything. But He was asking me to trust Him with my healing. Within three months, I was completely healed of my seizures.

I remember where I was the moment I realized I can do anything that the Lord asked me to do. I told God, because you set me free, I’ll go anywhere and do whatever you ask. And that’s what led me to be a missionary.

Areas of Focus for Rebecca.

Learning to Live and Communicate in an Unfamiliar Culture

  • Discovering the local traditions and beliefs to more effectively communicate Jesus Christ
  • Spending eight months in school to become fluent in the local language (Spanish)
  • Learning to drive a manual vehicle and motorcycle so that I can reach the remote villages
  • Developing an ear for God’s voice so that I am able to stand stable in an unstable environment

Gaining Experience in the Field Working With Other Missionaries and Local Pastors

  • Visiting villages and preaching the gospel
  • Praying for God to heal the lost, sick and hurting – just as He did for me
  • Training and discipling local indigenous pastors as well as other missionaries
  • So many children need to be rescued from evil and shown that they are loved by God and that he has a purpose for their lives.

  • There are simply no words when you see people’s lives being changed — seeing them set free and delivered.

  • Lives are being restored and people are being healed through encounters with Jesus.

  • Too many lost and hurting people have yet to hear the gospel and experience the love of God.

  • Missionaries need to be equipped with the practical and relationship skills that help them stay on the field.
